We of the Morro Bay Class of 1977 are turning 50 years old this year.

So let’s party.

The Party       |       The Invitation       |       Bios       |       Party Pix

This idea was originally borne from Susan (Lee) Johnson, and after some massage and care, here is the plan:

The location will be the Morro Bay Veteran's Memorial building, reserved for August 8, 2009, 11:00am to 3:00pm. This will provide us with a location where we can catch up, party and have some 50-year old fun.

*** Update *** The location has changed ***

We will be at the Del Mar Park Meadow area.
Directions are as follows:

Lunch will be provided (a variety of 6-foot meat and veggie sandwiches ) by Subway, with drinks and cake also being provided. You are welcome to also bring a side dish if you wish.

Family, friends and children are invited, and the cost per person will be $9.00 and covers everything.

RSVP with your check before August 5th Please make your check out to Marietta Gilway. (aka Marietta Johnson in the yearbook) Other info we need on the RSVP:

For those of you who cannot attend but would like to brief us on your current life, please send a brief one or two page letter of what you would like to say. Include photos if you like, but I cannot return them, unless you send a self-addressed stamped envelope. These letters will be displayed at the party.

Party pictures and this invitation are also going to be available at : www.cvware.com/50
If you know of a classmate who didn't receive this invitation and would like to attend, please refer him / her to this link as well.

OK ! So to recap .. The party conditions are…

  1. No alcohol

  2. Bring anyone in your family or friends (Just RSVP and pay for them !)

  3. I need the $9.00 per person before August 5th

  4. Make your check out to Marietta Gilway, (She is doing the banking )

  5. We start at 11:00 am and end at 3:00 pm

  6. Dress up or dress down. It’s your birthday party; you can do as you please.

  7. This is very important… Leave your insecurities at home. We have all lost our hair, gained wrinkles, gained weight, and gained emotional baggage over the years. We’ve all had hard knocks and we’re all old enough not to judge. This is to be a happy day.

  8. A graduating class a year or two ahead or behind us are welcomed too.
